LVL COMPARISON

Thunder provides fastest hierarchical LVL comparison, less than 30 seconds per GB, with GUI visualization to quickly identify differences of two designs. Customer benchmarks show that Thunder LVL requires minimum runtime memory usage and has linear performance to design size even with big designs (50G+ GDS). (Fig1)

MULTIPLE BOOLEAN OPERATIONS

Thunder built-in polygon boolean engine enables Thunder to provide a useful utility for user to handle GDS files. Thunder supports complex MBO (multiple-Boolean-Operations) with simple expression to directly create shapes on original layout. (Fig4)

3D LAYOUT VIEWER

Thunder built-in 3D layout view generator is able to render the 3D view on the fly. It also provides cross-probing capability between 3D view port and layout window for easy of analyzing. To visualize the real structure of circuit in terms of process, Thunder provides fluid real time rotation, zooming and navigation. (Fig-5)

3D SHORT LOCATOR

Thunder is able to render the 3D view of the layout on the fly. It also provides cross-probing capability between 3D view and layout window for ease of analyzing. NET TRACER

The tracer is able to trace physical net connectivity through the hierarchy, and to find short with routing highlight. The tracing result can be highlighted with 3D view. It enables a global view of any critical paths such that the routing quality can be easily examined. User can further turns on the Short Locator to find out potential short locations. (Fig 8a,8b,8c)

The tracer iIt provides seamless integration with industry standard third-party layout verification tools. It helps the user to browse and debug huge DRC/LVS error efficiently (opens 5G+ DRC results in 7 minutes). (Fig 9, Fig 10)

HUGE LAYOUT EDITING

Thunder enables user to browse/edit several hundred gigabytes GDS/OASIS on normal machines. Once the DB file is opened, loading and displaying from Thunder database is instant with partial load technology. The memory usage is significantly reduced with database optimization technology.
